To enter the lighthouse, you must first open a ships type oval water-tight door that is 5 feet tall by 2 feet 6 inches wide approximately. This door is a replacement of the original rectangular door. At some point in time we will research the history of this change to determine if it took place during the period of significance (1903-1955). Once inside the base of the tower, the original rectangular door is present and leaning up against the tower inside.
